Alice Marie (Cooper) Penn
Alice Marie (Cooper) Penn, age 88, of Auxvasse, left her earthly home to be welcomed into her savior’s arms on July 28, 2022.
A private graveside service will be held for immediate family.
Alice was born in Pleasant Green, Missouri, on May 6, 1934, the daughter of Walter and Lottie (Armstrong) Cooper. Alice graduated from Pilot Grove High School in 1952. She married Bill Anderson in May 1952, in Pleasant Green. He preceded her in death on February 27, 1985. She married Kenny Penn on November 16, 1991, in Mexico.
Her hobbies included sewing, gardening, hunting and fishing. Alice and her husband, Kenny enjoyed traveling in their RV to bluegrass music events. Family dinners were always delicious and delightful with Alice because of her sweet potato casserole, dinner rolls, noodles and bowl of buttery sweet corn all from her garden.
Alice is survived by her husband, Kenny Penn of the home; her sister, Joan Pannell of Boonville; two nephews, Allen Crafton of Kansas and George (Tracy) Pannell, Jr. of Boonville; two nieces, Peg Pannell Smith of Rockwall, Texas and Jo Lynn (Marty) Spurgeon of Warsaw; and numerous beloved great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. “Aunt Alice” will be missed by all.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents; three siblings, Bessie, Earl and Joe; one nephew, Jimmy; two nieces, Judy and Becky; and one great niece, Angie.
