Arthur Center announces new CEO

Arthur Center Community Health (ACCH) has been engaged over the last several months in a search for a successor to Terry Mackey given his upcoming retirement as the chief executive officer of ACCH. Arthur Center’s board, with the help of the search firm, The Meyers Group, engaged stakeholders both within and outside clinics to create a CEO profile that highlights the characteristics depicting the type of person ACCH wants to lead the organization in the future.

“We are excited to announce Donald Brock Lough has been selected to lead ACCH into the future as our new CEO,” said Steven Kreyling, ACCH board president. “The board is pleased to welcome Donald, who goes by Brock, to the helm of the organization. We are blessed to have great staff, great leadership and a long history of quality care to our communities. The board has full confidence in Brock’s leadership ability and commitment to our organization, consumers, staff and community. We look forward to meeting together the challenges ahead.”

Brock comes to ACCH from his most recent role as the interim CEO of Wood County Community Health Center, a public sector Federally Qualified Health Center in Bowling Green, Ohio. Prior to joining Wood County, Brock served as the interim executive director/chief operating officer for Good Samaritan Hospital’s Samaritan Center, an FQHC/CCBHC hybrid entity with over 200 employees. Brock spent over 6 years working for Hamilton Center in Terre Haute, Indiana, where he held numerous positions over his tenure, including executive director of school services, chair of the policy review committee, integrated care specialist, and at the time of his departure from Hamilton Center, chief deputy of health clinics. In addition to these roles, Brock is also a successful entrepreneur who operated his own health and human services consulting firm, served as a professional collegiate coach, and was a professional athlete for the Cincinnati Bengals in the National Football League. Brock is eager to put his extensive leadership and professional experience to use at Arthur Center.

“We know that Brock is incredibly excited to be our new CEO and looking forward to working with state and local leadership, the Board of Directors, ACCH’s dedicated staff, and most importantly, the Mexico and surrounding communities,” said Kreyling.

In Brock’s own words: “I am humbled to announce that I have accepted the position of CEO at the Arthur Center, an organization with a great history of providing comprehensive care for over six decades. I feel privileged to join this rich history of serving people to help them meet some of their most important needs. I want to express my gratitude to the Board, leadership, and the entire team at the Arthur Center for this incredible opportunity. My family and I are excited to become a part of the Mexico community, and we are grateful for the warm welcome we have already received. I am honored to be able, with the help of the entire community, to guide the Arthur Center, a vital community service organization, toward a successful and prosperous future.”

“As ACCH continues supporting its patients, many are among the most vulnerable in our communities, both the Board of Directors and staff are excited to have Brock join our team to continue the tradition of making a difference in the health care lives of the communities we serve,” said Kreyling. “Please join us in welcoming Brock and his family to the Mexico community.”
