The Centralia girls have followed up last season’s 24-win campaign with even more accomplishments.
The Lady Panthers’ 21st victory came in Saturday’s regular season finale at Clark County (5-17, 0-7 CCC) with a decisive 50-15 win. Centralia improved its Clarence Cannon Conference record to 7-0 and secured its first outright conference title since 1978.
Morgan Ross led with 12 points, Braylin Brunkhorst followed with 11 points, Ryenn Gordon had 10 points, and Shelby Lewis pulled down 14 rebounds.
The Panthers finished off their conference season as well with a 57-37 victory at Clark County (5-17, 0-7 CCC), moving their records to 15-10 and 5-2 in conference.
Centralia opens district play in the Class 3 District 7 tournament semifinals at North Callaway at 7:30 p.m. tonight against Father Tolton (15-9). The Lady Panthers had a first-round bye as the No. 2 seed.
