Donald Lee Roddy, 88, of Centralia, died Sunday, Dec. 27, 2020 at Parkside Manor.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 2, 2021 at Fenton-Kendrick Funeral Home in Centralia, with burial to follow in the Centralia City Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. till time of service.

To those attending the visitation and service, it is asked that face masks be worn, and that social distancing be maintained. Those attending are to be aware that capacity and seating may be limited. Guidelines set forth by Boone County will be followed.

Donald was born May 13, 1932 in Centralia, the son of Forrest and Cleva (Waters) Roddy.

Donald is survived by his children, Dorothea (Ron) Hutsel of Mexico, Don (Pam) Roddy Jr. of Columbia, Frank (Barbara) Roddy of Columbia, Virginia (Ray) Nichols of Centralia; son-in-law Dan Swiney; sister Ruby Ridgeway of Mexico; and special nephew Steve Roddy of Thompson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 13 siblings, and daughter Wanda Swiney.

Donald worked for A.B. Chance Company for over 30 years.

He served in the United States Army during the Korean War.

Donald spent his free time watching wrestling, working on bicycles and junking.

He enjoyed gardening and thoroughly enjoyed the company and conversations had with other people.
