On Saturday, April 16, at approximately 5:23 p.m., the Mexico Public Safety Department (MPSD) responded to the 800 block of W. Monroe in reference to a disturbance.
Responding personnel learned that Kynan J. Fox, 48, had been involved and had an active warrant for his arrest from an unrelated incident.
Officers met with Fox in the 1100 block of Harwood before he attempted to escape on a bicycle he was riding. A chase ensued, with officers pursuing Fox for about eight blocks before he was taken into custody without injury.
Hewas taken to the Audrain County Jail for the warrant and an additional case of resisting arrest will be forwarded to the Audrain County Prosecuting Attorney.
Residents are reminded that people arrested / charged with a crime are simply accused of the crime and are to be considered innocent unless proven guilty.
