The Mexico tennis program ran a three-day youth camp at Fairgrounds Park in Mexico from July 5th to the 7th. Upcoming third- to sixth-graders were part of the first session each day from 8-9:30 a.m. prior to the seventh-graders to high schoolers taking the 9:45 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. block. Kids learned the basics of tennis from boys head coach Tony Senor and Mexico players like the proper technique when it comes to footwork, swinging the racket and other aspects. There was also time to play games that covered the skills they learned.
