Beginning Apr. 2023, trash rates in the City of Mexico will go up approximately 2.5%.
The Mexico City Council approved the resolution unanimously during their regular monthly meeting held on Monday, Feb. 13.
Mexico Deputy City Manager Roger Haynes says there are about 4,360 residential accounts.
"Last year the rate was $12.95 and this year it will be $13.27 with a fuel cost adjusted rate cap of $14.20."
