Local golfer Louis Schmidt made a hole-in-one at the third hole at the Mark Twain Country Club, Paris, on April 9.
“It made him feel kind of funny after golfing for so many years to finally make a hole in one,” Schmidt said.
The third hole is a par 3 of 147 yards. Louie’s shot hit the front edge of the green, rolled up to the flag pin, nudged the stick, stopped for about two seconds, then fell into the hole.
The shot was witnessed by Charlie Maupin of Mexico. Louie says that he will now be working on getting his second hole-in-one.
