Scooter’s Coffee Day of Giving is April 19, will support The Food Bank

The Food Bank for Central & Northeast Missouri is proud to partner with Scooter’s Coffee for a “Day of Giving” on Tuesday April 19.  On this day, 25 percent of proceeds will benefit The Food Bank’s Buddy Packs program in 8 participating Scooter’s Coffee locations in Kirksville, Macon, Moberly, Mexico and all four locations in Columbia .

Buddy Packs are pre-packaged bags with a variety of food each week — with items like easy-to-make meals, cereal and peanut butter. At upper-level schools, food is discreetly provided through School Pantries instead. Buddy Packs provide food to 7,500 children each week during the academic year. The Food Bank’s focus is to reach as many students as possible and generous partnerships like Scooters helps us to accomplish that mission.

As you’re preparing to make a coffee purchase please consider stopping by one of these Scooter’s Coffee store locations on April 19. A great cup of Scooter’s Coffee is a great way to make an impact in your community by feeding a Child in need.

The Food Bank for Central & Northeast Missouri is a regional disaster and hunger-relief network that distributes more than 30 million pounds of food annually to partners across a 32-county service area. A member of Feeding America, The Food Bank works with manufacturers, wholesalers, processors, growers, retailers and restaurants to secure donations and food at reduced costs. The Food Bank works with more than 145 food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters and other agencies to ensure food gets into the hands of those who need it most.  We are the only food bank in the state to provide to partner agencies at no charge.
