The Van-Far and North Callaway boys each played on Night 2 of the Bowling Green Tournament on Tuesday.
The boys first-round games included Van-Far defeating Louisiana 30-28 to earn a rematch with top seed Elsberry 5:30 p.m. Thursday in Bowling Green's high school gym. Nikos Connaway and Cody Smith each led Van-Far with seven points, and Gage Gibson had six points.
North Callaway lost 58-51 to Winfield after Winfield came back with a 22-10 scoring margin in the fourth quarter. Sam Pezold led the Thunderbirds with 17 points and 10 rebounds, Braydn O'Neal followed with 12 points and seven assists, and Trenton Jones had eight points and six rebounds. North Callaway faces Clopton at 6:50 p.m. Thursday in the middle school gym.
