On Friday, Oct. 27, at approximately 2:55 p.m. the Mexico Public Safety Department (MPSD) responded to the area of the 600 block of Green Boulevard in reference to a woman stuck on a cell phone tower. Responding personnel found a 37-year-old Mexico woman about 75 feet up the tower. The woman later stated she had climbed the tower to get a good look at the changing leaves, lost her shoe, and became unable to get down. Aerial 213 responded, and personnel safely got the woman down. The owner of the tower responded to better secure it and the woman was taken to University of Missouri Hospital for treatment. MPSD will forwarding a case to the Audrain County Prosecutor for trespassing first degree.
