Jennings man hurt in single-vehicle crash
AUDRAIN - A Jennings man suffered minor injuries after his vehicle went off a roadway April 5 and crashed into a tree and landed in a ditch.
The crash report said the man, 47, was taken to University Hospital by Audrain County Ambulance.
The wreck, which occurred at 5:30 a.m. at Route BB, a half-mile east of Route AA, was triggered when the man’s 2018 Freightliner Conventional went off the right side of the roadway and the driver overcorrected and the vehicle returned to the roadway and began to slide across the center line, the crash report stated. The vehicle traveled off the left side of the roadway and struck a tree and then rotated and overturned into a ditch.
Columbia man injured in Audrain County wreck
AUDRAIN - A Columbia man suffered minor injuries when his vehicle crashed April 5 on Route Y south of Audrain Road 116.
The man, 39, was taken by Randolph County Ambulance to University Hospital.
The crash report said the man’s vehicle, a 2022 Subaru Outback, was traveling too fast for the conditions and lost control on a sharp curve. The vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck an embankment and rotated clockwise. The vehicle came to a rest in a ditch, facing north. The wreck happened at 4:30 p.m.
Houston man injured in crash
AUDRAIN - A Houston, Texas, man suffered minor injuries after his vehicle went off the road and crashed April 2 on Highway B south of Audrain Road 412.
The man, 33, was transported to University Hospital by Audrain County EMS. The crash report said the man’s 2020 Freightliner Cascadia 126 ran off the right side of the roadway driving along the ditch. He overcorrected, returned to the roadway and the vehicle overturned. The vehicle crossed the center of the road, skidding to a stop off the left side of the roadway.
The wreck happened just shortly after 4:50 a.m.
Holts Summit residents injured in crash
BOONE - Two people from Holts Summit suffered injuries after their vehicle crashed April 3 on US 63 southbound, north of County Road 399.
The driver, a 65-year-old man, suffered moderate injuries, while the passenger, a 72-year-old woman, had serious injuries, according to the crash report. The man and woman were taken by ambulance to University Hospital.
The wreck happened shortly after 5:30 p.m. when the man’s 2013 Nissan Quest was traveling in the left lane and began to change to the right lane and the driver saw an uninvolved vehicle traveling parallel to his vehicle in the right lane. The driver swerved back to the left lane to avoid colliding with the other vehicle, but he overcorrected and traveled off the right side of the roadway and went down an embankment, striking multiple trees. The car overturned on its right side. The vehicle came to a rest in the embankment.
