Two people transported to hospitals after Audrain County crash
Two people were taken to hospitals after a three-vehicle crash Aug. 25 at U.S. 54 at County Road 485.
A 34-year-old woman from Bowling Green was taken to University Hospital for serious injuries and an 89-year-old Martinsburg man with minor injuries was transported to the VA Hospital in Columbia. Both were drivers, and a 31-year-old Vandalia woman driving the third vehicle was not listed as injured in the crash report.
The crash happened at 7:10 a.m., and the report stated two vehicles - a 2014 GMC Terrain driven by the Vandalia woman and a 2015 Mercedes ML350 driven by the Bowling Green woman - were stopped for another vehicle making a turn when a 2005 Dodge Caravan driven by the Martinsburg man collided with the rear of Terrain, which in turn struck the Mercedes.
