Three-vehicle crash injures four people
AUDRAIN - Four people were injured in a three-vehicle wreck July 2 on Missouri 22 east of Thompson.
All four people were transported by ambulance to University Hospital. Two people - an 8-year-old boy from Mexico and a 34-year-old man from Clifton Hill - suffered serious injuries, while a 9-year-old girl and a 30-year-old woman, both from Mexico, had minor injuries.
The wreck occurred at 10:10 p.m. The crash report stated the man from Clifton Hill, who was driving a 2010 Dodge Charger, had fallen asleep and crossed the center of the roadway and collided with a vehicle, a 2016 Ford Escape, driven by the woman from Mexico, and a tire from her vehicle came off and hit a third vehicle, a 2008 Nissan Rogue, driven by a 40-year-old Mexico man.
Ashland woman injured in two-vehicle crash
BOONE - An Ashland woman suffered moderate injuries after a two-vehicle wreck July 3 at U.S. 63 southbound near Deer Park.
The woman, 35, was taken to University Hospital. The wreck occurred at 6:20 p.m.
The crash report stated the wreck occurred when the woman’s vehicle, a 2022 Hyundai Tucson, and a 2006 Case 2377 Combine, driven by a 47-year-old Ashland man, were traveling south when the Tucson collided with the rear of the combine.
Tire strikes vehicle and injures Florissant woman
CALLAWAY - A Florissant woman suffered moderate injuries when a tire from another vehicle struck her vehicle July 4 at eastbound Interstate 70 at the 140.8 mile marker.
The woman, 47, was a passenger in the vehicle, a 2022 Buick Enclave, and she was taken to University Hospital. The crash happened just before 9:50 a.m. when the tire from an unknown vehicle hit the windshield of the woman’s car, driven by a 53-year-old Florissant man.
Two Wellsville people injured in I-70 crash
CALLAWAY - Two people from Wellsville suffered minor injuries after they were involved in a one-vehicle crash July 3 at eastbound Interstate 70 at the 136.8 marker.
The man, 78, who was the driver, and the woman, 79, the passenger, were taken to Boone County Hospital.
The wreck, which happened at 2:15 p.m., occurred when the man’s 2014 Lincoln MKX struck the impact attenuator and became airborne and overturned, the crash report stated. The vehicle came to a rest on its top, facing west, and blocked the right lane.
Chain-reaction crash injures St. Charles woman
CALLAWAY - A St. Charles woman suffered minor injuries after she was involved in a five-vehicle wreck July 2 at westbound Interstate 70 at the Auxvasse Creek Bridge.
The injured woman, 58, was taken to University Hospital. The wreck, which occurred at 1:50 p.m, was the result of a chain-reaction crash that involved five vehicles in congested traffic that was coming to a stop. The woman was driving a 2022 Ford F150.
