Centralia man injured in crash involving horse and buggy

AUDRAIN - A Centralia man suffered serious injuries after he was in a two-vehicle crash July 26 at Audrain Road 124 east of Route Y. 

The man, 21, was taken to University Hospital. The wreck happened at 12:55 p.m.

The crash report said a 2025 Honda CR 125X, driven by the Centralia man, was operating on the wrong side of the roadway and he aggressively braked, causing the vehicle to slide and travel under the other vehicle, which was a horse and buggy, and causing a collision.  The operator of the buggy was a 32-year-old man from Sturgeon.

Two people injured in crash

AUDRAIN - Two people suffered minor injuries after a two-vehicle crash July 24 at Missouri 15 at Route CC.

The two people - a 31-year-old man from Columbia and a 46-year-old man from Holts Summit - were taken to University Hospital. 

The wreck happened at 7:35 p.m. The crash report said a 2004 Jeep Wrangler, driven by a 44-year-old man from New Bloomfield, was traveling south on Missouri 15 and came to a stop on Route CC facing east. A 2025 Buick Enclave, driven by the Columbia man, failed to see the Wrangler and attempted to make a left turn on Missouri15 and collided with the other vehicle. The Holts Summit man was a passenger in the Wrangler.

Man crashes plane in Boone County

BOONE - A Huntsville man suffered serious injuries and was life-flighted by MU Air to University Hospital July 22 after he crashed his airplane.

The crash happened at 1:15 p.m. The crash report said the man, 31, was operating an Air Tractor Model AT402A plane and struck electric cables and crashed into a field. The crash happened near Route CC, 300 feet west of North Angell School Road. 

Mississippi man injured in Interstate 70 wreck

CALLAWAY - A Brandon, Mississippi, man suffered minor injuries after he was involved in an accident July 26 at westbound Interstate 70 at the 143 mile marker. 

The man, 61, was transported to University Hospital.

The crash happened at 4 p.m. when the man’s 2016 Harley Davidson struck an object in the roadway. At the scene, a 2007 Honda Civic, driven by a 71-year-old Lake St. Louis man, struck the towed unit of a 2009 Peterbilt 579, driven by a 29-year-old Columbia man. No injuries were reported to those drivers. 

Two people injured in two-vehicle crash

CALLAWAY - Two people were injured and transported to University Hospital after they were involved in a two-vehicle crash July 26 at U.S. 63 southbound at CR 399. 

The driver of one of the vehicles - a 23-year-old Jefferson City man - suffered moderate injuries -  and the other driver, a 77-year-old Ashland man, suffered minor injuries.

The crash said the accident happened at 10:10 a.m. when the Jefferson City man, in a 2000 Chevrolet Cavalier, was traveling in the left lane and overtook the other vehicle, a 2008 Ford F-250, driven by the Ashland man, who was in the right lane. The Cavalier crossed the centerline and collided with the F-250. Both vehicles went off the right side of the roadway and overturned.

Lake Ozark woman suffers minor injury in crash

CALLAWAY - A Lake Ozark woman refused treatment after she was involved in a one-vehicle crash July 25 at U.S. 63 at Renz Farm Road. 

The wreck happened at 11:50 a.m. The woman suffered minor injuries.

The woman, 39, was driving a 2016 Hyundai Elantra when she attempted to turn right on Renz Farm Road and she ran off the right side of the roadway and became airborne and crossed RenzFarm Road, striking a MoDOT sign, the crash report stated.
