Mexico man injured in single-vehicle wreck

AUDRAIN - A 66-year-old Mexico man suffered serious injuries after he was involved in a one-vehicle crash June 19 at Route NN 385 feet north of CR 314.

The man was taken to University Hospital by Air Evac. 

The wreck occurred at 5:30 p.m. when the man, driving a Craftsman LT 1000, overturned into a creek and was ejected.

DeSoto man injured in  single-vehicle crash

BOONE - A De Soto man suffered serious injuries after he was involved in a one-vehicle crash June 17 at U.S. 63 southbound, just south of Route A.

The man, 35, was taken to University Hospital.

The wreck happened just before 1:20 p.m. when the man, driving a 2000 Chevrolet Lumina, traveled off the right side of the roadway, went down an embankment and struck a treeline. The vehicle then struck two trees and then came to a rest facing south.

Several people go to hospitals after Interstate 70 wreck

CALLAWAY - Several people were hurt in a June 19 crash that involved four vehicles on Interstate 70 eastbound at the 139.2 mile marker.

Three adults - a 32-year-old St. Louis man, a 46-year-old Hallsville man and a 64-year-old Columbia man - suffered minor injuries, as did one boy, 4, of St. Louis. A 55-year-old Columbia woman, who drove one of the vehicles, suffered moderate injuries. The Hallsvills man also was one of the drivers. The rest of the injured people were occupants. Four of the injured people were taken by ambulance to University Hospital, while the Hallsville man went to Boone Hospital by private vehicle.

The wreck, which happened at 7:35 a.m., occurred when three of the vehicles, which were slowing and stopping in congested traffic, had a fourth vehicle strike the rear of one of the three vehicles, starting a chain reaction with the two other vehicles.
