Mexico man hurt in motorocycle crash

A Mexico man suffered moderate injuries after his motorcycle struck a deer Sept. 26 on Route FF, .7 miles west of Audrain County Road 989. 

The man, 54, was taken to University Hospital. The wreck happened at 5:30 a.m.

The crash report said the man, riding a 2009 Harley Davidson Sportster, struck the deer while attempting to cross the roadway, causing the motorcycle to overturn and eject the rider. The man and the vehicle came to a rest on the north side of the roadway.

Arizona woman hurt in crash

An Apache Junction, Arizona, woman was hurt in a Sept. 27 one-vehicle crash on Route J, .25 mile east of West Lick Creek in Audrain County.

The woman, 36, was taken to University Hospital. The wreck happened at 10:30 p.m.

The crash report said the woman, who was driving a 2003 Toyota Tundra, was going east on Route J when she went off the right side of the road, then overcorrected to the left and returned to the roadway and began sliding. She traveled off the left side of the road and then overcorrected to the right and then returned to the road and began overturning. The vehicle came to a rest on the right side of the road, on the the driver's side.
