Audrain County Health Department Administrator and CEO Craig Brace announced the promotion of Kerry Patton, LPN, to the position of Health Specialist for the Maternal Child Health Health program.
Patton, who has been working in the MCH program for several years already with ACHD, will expand her responsibilities in leading the program while continuing her work with ACHD’s Cancer Screening Services and the department’s Lead Testing program.
“Since joining ACHD, Kerry has consistently demonstrated a commitment to excellence and has become a valued member of the ACHD team,” Brace said. “She exemplifies our Client-First Care philosophy in every interaction and fully embraces our culture of One Team, One Promise.”
Patton has been a valued member of the ACHD team for the past 17 years.
“In my new role, I will focus on strengthening community partnerships, improving access to coordinated healthcare and promoting family-centered care through the 2027-2031, five-year workplan,” Patton said. “I’m excited to embrace this role and will also work to increase awareness of medical homes, expand community outreach, and support children and families in accessing needed healthcare services.”
Brace said Patton will also incorporate other aspects of ACHD programming into her new position.
“Kerry will also incorporate nutrition education and childhood obesity prevention initiatives while monitoring program outcomes into her role,” he said. “She will, as a part of her duties, review community health data and identify opportunities to improve maternal and child health services in Audrain County.”
Patton will begin her duties in her new role immediately.
“I’m excited to continue the MCH program and further it for our Audrain County families,” Patton said. “I look forward to the expansion of services for our clients and working with them for a more healthy outcome for them and their families.
