The Agape House of Vandalia board met Jan. 6 with Jane Duffner, Richard Duffner, Janet Heim, Karen Holbrook, Sterling Holbrook, Eldora Lowry, Ruth Miller, Floy Oliver, Phil Pennington, Kay Robnett and Mary Thomas present.

Richard Duffner reported that all Karen Craig’s personal items have been removed by the family and Janet Heim, Eldora Lowry and Ruth Miller cleaned the manager’s apartment.

Two bathrooms have leaky faucets and Jim Miller has been notified to replace them.

The board is still seeking candidates for the manager position and Richard Duffner is to notify them when there are candidates to interview.

Monetary donations in the month of December were from Bethlehem Baptist of Centralia; Christian Church, First Baptist Church, First Presbyterian Church and Southside Baptist all of Vandalia; Carol Craig of Ironton; Curryville Baptist Church; Curryville Presbyterian Church; Farber Baptist Church; Festival of Sharing Missouri Annual Conference Columbia; Grace Lutheran Ladies Society Wellsville; Hopewell Baptist Thompson; Knights of Columbus Higginsville; Stafford UMW; Trinity Presbyterian Church Columbia and WERDCC Restorative Justice of Vandalia.

The house is currently in need of queen, full, and twin size sheet sets, white bath and hand towels and wash cloths. If anyone would like to donate any of these items, contact a board member or leave a message on the Agape House answering machine at 573-594-6755.
