The coronation ceremony was held during halftime of Friday’s boys basketball game against Mark Twain. The custom is as old as Community R-6 and involves candidates going through a process that involves interviews among other merit-based tasks that are judged by outside people such as business leaders and alumni. One boy and one girl from each class are considered for king and queen.
