Altrusa International of Mexico, Inc. met on May 22 at The Oaks for its program meeting. The meeting was called to order by Co-President Nancy Early followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. There were 17 members in attendance along with two guests.
Committee reports were as follows:
ASTRA: Gina Raines reported that ASTRA had 13 seniors graduate. Membership - Initiated new member Kaye Bigelow. Literacy: Surveys regarding the dictionary/thesaurus project have been sent to area teachers. Hospitality: The Miss Missouri Luncheon will be held on June 11 at the Canteen at Missouri Military Academy. Foundation: They met and set up the budget for the 2025-2026 year.
Installation of the 2025/26 Officers was led by Carla Tanzey. She explained the duties of each office. The officers are: Co-Presidents: Gina Raines and Jackie Vaughn; 1st Vice-President: Trisha Jackson and Tiffany Maxwell; 2nd Vice-President: Mary Dickey; Past President: Nancy Early and Suzanne Pursifull; Recording Secretary: Patty Meyers; Corresponding Secretary: Jane Duffner; Treasurer: Jill Rafferty; Parliamentarian: Donna Peak; Director: Mae Fennewald (one year remaining); Director: Kathy Jackson (two-year term); Foundation: Judy Borgia (three-year term); Foundation: Teresa Kelly (three-year term); and Foundation: Mary Sobba (two-year term).
Members gave Happy Moments and recited the benediction to close the meeting.
