Altrusa International of Mexico, Missouri, Inc. met April 24 at The Oaks for their program meeting. The meeting was called to order by Co-President Nancy Early followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. There were 12 members in attendance along with three guests.
Committee reports were as follows:
Gina Spoor Sachs gave the program on her business, tinyacts.co. Sachs graduated from Community R-VI in 2004. Before starting her company, she worked with a mentor online who asked her, “What really makes you light up?” That planted the idea for tinyacts.co. She was then challenged to explore how to make money with that. Sachs has developed four “decks of cards” with words of kindness and one kids book. She has sold over 11,000 cards.
Last year, Gina was chosen to be on a reality show for entrepreneurs. The filming was last summer in Tulsa. The program is set to air this summer on Facebook Watch.
Members gave Happy Moments and recited the benediction to close the meeting.
