Committee reports
Penny Daugherty is running for Vice President of Altrusa International. She will be traveling to Quebec City, Quebec, Canada, this month for the biennial convention.
Molly Hanley gave an informational program on financial fraud. Anyone can be a victim, but it seems that older adults are often targeted. They may be more susceptible to scams and the fraudsters know that they may have saved all of their life. She discussed six scenarios: identity theft/phishing, caregiver fraud, romance scams, lotteries/sweepstakes scams, grandparent scams and imposter scams. She also discussed red flags to be watching for.
Members gave Happy Moments and recited the benediction to close the meeting.
