Altrusa International of Mexico Inc. hosted a teddy bear party Nov. 6 in the Audrain County Courthouse Community Room to celebrate the launch of its Books and Bears project. “Coping Skills with Books and Bears” teaches children about coping skills while introducing them to first responders in a safe and educational way. The launch party included a book signing, bear-themed snacks, crafts, a reading and an opportunity to practice coping skills.
