Leadership Mexico is currently accepting applications for those interested in learning about Mexico’s past and how to become more involved in its future until Feb. 27, according to a news release by the Mexico Area Chamber of Commerce.

The program is governed by the Leadership Mexico Committee and chamber of commerce. The committee is composed of graduates of previous Leadership Mexico classes. The Leadership committee for 2026 is Derek Clithero, Marci Orr, Kerri Ferrari, Brooke McGuire, Chelsea Baker, Dennis Houchins and Greg Sewell.

Leadership has many facets and requires a plan of action while striving to achieve a common goal. Leadership Mexico is “taking aim at the future” of Mexico and will provide an opportunity for personal development as well as an avenue for participation in the affairs of the community, the release stated.

The sessions will begin at 11:30 a.m. with lunch and will conclude at approximately 4:00 p.m. Participants are expected to attend each of the six sessions to complete graduation requirements. Following the final session there will be a graduation for family, friends and chamber members to recognize and honor the graduates.
