A 25-year-old man from Swannanoa, NC sustained serious injuries in a one-vehicle accident that occurred Jan. 9 at 1:46 a.m. The driver of the 2015 Honda Accord was traveling eastbound on I-70 when he drove off the right side of the roadway at mile-marker 139.2. The vehicle overturned and struck two trees, ejecting the driver. The driver was transported by Callaway EMS to University Hospital with serious injuries while the vehicle, which was deemed a total loss, was towed from the scene.
