Wreck sends two people to hospital
AUDRAIN - Two people from Paris were transported to University Hospital in Columbia after they suffered minor injuries following a crash Feb. 17 on Highway 15 near Audrain Road 355.
A 45-year-old woman, the driver, and a 29-year-old man, the passenger, suffered minor injuries and were taken to the hospital by Audrain County EMS after their vehicle, a 2008 Chevrolet Impala, crashed around 12:30 p.m. The vehicle was traveling north on the road when the wreck occurred, and the vehicle sustained extensive damage and was towed.
The crash report stated the driver failed to negotiate a curve to the left, and the car slid off the road and struck a utility pole.
Passenger suffers injuries in US 63 accident
BOONE - An Eldon woman suffered minor injuries after a crash Feb. 15 on South US 63 near South Westbrook Drive. The driver, a 32-year-old Columbia man, did not have any injuries, according to the crash report. The passenger, a 33-year-old woman, was taken by Callaway County EMS to University Hospital.
The crash occurred at 8:50 a.m. after the driver, traveling south in the left lane, swerved left after being passed by another motorist on the right. The vehicle went off the left side of the roadway and struck a cable barrier. The vehicle sustained moderate damage.
Driver taken to Columbia hospital after crash on Interstate 70
CALLAWAY - A Kansas City, Kan., woman was taken to University Hospital after she was injured in a wreck Feb. 12 on Interstate 70.
The wreck occurred at 10:50 a.m. at the 146 mile marker after the woman, 35, was traveling east in her 2023 Ford F-150 and was moving too fast for the conditions and lost control on the snow-covered highway and went off the right side of the roadway and struck an exit sign post. The driver suffered moderate injuries, and was transported to the hospital by Callaway County EMS, the crash report stated. The pickup sustained moderate damage.
