Pedestrian sustains serious injuries

AUDRAIN– At 5:10 p.m., Jan. 29, MSHP Troop F responded to a crash on W. State St.

A 60-year-old woman was transported to University Hospital with serious injuries after she was struck by a vehicle on W. State St. at S. Walnut St. in Vandalia. The 89-year-old driver of the 1999 Lincoln Town Car was traveling west when she struck the pedestrian.

The vehicle sustained no damage and was driven from the scene.

Man sustains moderate injuries

BOONE– At 7:10 a.m., Jan. 30, MSHP Troop F responded to a crash on Route B.

A 58-year-old Hallsville man was transported by private conveyance to University Hospital with moderate injuries. The injured driver of the 2005 Honda VTX1300C was heading northbound on Route B when he was stuck by a 78-year-old Hallsville man. The driver of the 2020 Chevrolet Traverse was entering Route B from McGee Rd. when he collided with the Honda, which sustained moderate damage and was secured roadside.

The Chevrolet sustained minor damage and was towed by I-70 towing.

Passenger sustains serious injuries in rear-end collision

CALLAWAY– At 5:39 a.m., Jan. 28, MSHP Troop F responded to a crash on I-70

A 21-year-old male from LaFayette, GA was traveling eastbound on I-70 in a 2012 Nissan Frontier when he rear-ended the 2025 Freightliner. The Freightliner, driven by a 57-year-old male from St. Paul Park, MN was traveling eastbound when he was struck at mile marker 137.

The 22-year-old, female passenger of the Nissan, sustained serious injuries and was transported to University Hospital by ambulance.

The Freightliner sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene.
