A Lonoke, Arkansas, woman died from a crash July 24 that happened at the eastbound U.S. 40 ramp to eastbound Interstate 70, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.
The woman's body was transferred to the Boone County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The report said the event happened at 9:35 a.m. when the woman, in a 2006 Toyota Scion XB, was attempting to flee law enforcement and failed to drive on the right side of the roadway. She traveled off the left side of the eastbound 40 ramp to eastbound 70. The vehicle went airborne and returned to the roadway on eastbound 70 and collided with another vehicle, a 2005 Kenworth W900, driven by a 64-year-old Festus man, that was going east on 70.
The woman, 42, was pronounced dead at University Hospital at 10:30 a.m., the report stated.
