Keaton Bell and Ethan Hersh were each good on the mound for their respective teams of North Callaway and Missouri Military Academy on Friday in the Class 3 District 7 tournament at South Callaway in Mokane.
Bell finished with seven innings of eight strikeouts, six hits and no walks in a 4-0 win for North Callaway while Hersh had six innings of seven hits, five strikeouts, four runs and two walks for MMA.
North Callaway advances to the semifinals at 4 p.m. Monday against top seed and Class 3 No. 5 South Callaway (19-7) while MMA wraps up its season with a 9-9 record and a matching school record for wins in a season.
