Residents across Audrain County have the chance to spotlight their favorite local businesses, organizations and professionals as the first Best of Audrain contest gets underway today, June 19.
The community-driven contest invites readers to nominate and vote for the top businesses across a wide range of categories, from dining and shopping to services and more.
Nominations and voting for the 2026 Best of Audrain Awards are open and allow participants to submit their favorite local businesses and individuals for consideration in each category. Participants can submit nominations and cast votes online daily through July 24 at mexicoledger.com/bestofaudrain.
A print ballot will also be published in the June 24 and July 8 editions of The Mexico Ledger.
The contest is designed to celebrate the businesses and individuals who make Audrain County a great place to live, work and visit, while also encouraging residents to support local.
Winners will be featured in a special section highlighting the best the community has to offer in the August 26 edition of The Mexico Ledger. Winning businesses will also receive a free window cling. There is no purchase necessary to vote or win.
