Rocheport woman hits deer
A 49-year-old Rocheport woman suffered minor injuries in a one-vehicle accident that occurred on Nov. 8 at 6:30 a.m. on US 40 at Ivy Lane. According to Missouri State Highway Patrol, the 2021 Honda CRV traveling eastbound on US 40 struck a deer which entered the roadway in the vehicles path. The woman was transported to University Hospital by private conveyance and the vehicle was totaled.
Columbia man loses control
A 22-year-old Columbia man suffered minor injuries in a one-vehicle accident that occurred on Nov. 9 at 2:30 p.m.on Route J. According to Missouri State Highway Patrol, the 2019 Dodge Ram 2500 traveling North near Drane traveled off the right side of the road. The driver overcorrected, lost control and traveled off the left side of the road colliding with a ditch, fence and farming equipment parked nearby. The man was transported to University Hospital with minor injuries and the vehicle was moderately damaged.
