Jaylynn Brown was perfect through six innings for Centralia on Tuesday.
The sophomore was still stellar through seven innings pitched, striking out 15 while leading the Lady Panthers to a 4-1 victory over Mexico (5-9). The Lady Bulldogs broke up the perfect game with a Hannah Loyd single that scored on the same play because of an outfield error. Brown faced two batters over the minimum, allowing just the one hit and one walk. Centralia (10-2) had its own Little League home run in the first inning when errors allowed two to score on Ealynne Bostick's bunt with one runner at first base. Madi Johnson scored twice, walked twice and had a double for Centralia, Kassena Ridgel had a RBI single and Tilly Fox went 2-for-3.
Centralia hosts Warrenton (5-5) at 6:30 p.m. Thursday while Mexico (2-1 NCMC) plays at North Central Missouri Conference rival Fulton (7-3, 4-0 NCMC).
