The Mexico Bulldogs won their second straight district title in fourth in five years after defeating Hallsville 82-61 in Friday's Class 4 District 8 championship game in Moberly. Mexico (22-6) nailed 12 3-pointers and had four score in double figures to secure its sixth straight victory and a sectional meeting at state No. 10 and District 8 champion Orchard Farm (22-6) at 7 p.m. Monday. Jaydon Eldridge led Mexico with 27 points, eight rebounds, five assists and four 3-pointers, Kaden Benne followed with 20 points and four 3-pointers, Charlie Fisher had 17 points and three 3-pointers, and PJ Perkins added 10 points and seven rebounds. Cameron Cox led Hallsville (21-6) with 17 points and five 3-pointers but fouled out in the fourth quarter. Isaac Stinson followed with 13 points and eight rebounds, and Keilin Dorman had 10 points.
