From start to finish on Saturday afternoon, Mexico dominated the game at Chris Hotop Field.
The Bulldogs defeated Chillicothe 5-0 at home to move to 4-1 and give them 11 goals in two games. Mexico (4-1) outshot Chillicothe (2-2) 31-12, including 18 shots in the second half that netted three of its goals. Gage Walker had two goals, and Kalvin Smith, Jesus Garcia and Alfredo Juarez-Lopez each added a goal.
"We've really been working on making those passes and including everybody really working the ball, being selfless and just giving it up," head coach Bill Gleeson said. "The boys are starting to really gel like they know where the other person is going to be, and they can just pass it there and they're going to be there."
"Me and Alex (Rodriguez), we play in Wolfpack Academy," Garcia said. "We know how each other plays. In practice, we practice offense or defense, and I always try to stay open for them on the sides."
Mexico plays at North Central Missouri Conference foe Kirksville (1-3, 1-2 NCMC) at 5 p.m. Tuesday.
