Mexico (2-2) defeated Montgomery County 58-54 in last year's championship game and had won three of the previous four title games going into the day. PJ Perkins finished with a double-double of 15 points and 11 rebounds, Jaydon Eldridge followed with 13 points, Kaden Benne had 12 points, and Charlie Fisher also finished with 12 points along with two 3-pointers. Benne scored nine of his points in the third quarter, when Mexico turned a 36-24 halftime deficit into a seven-point deficit in the quarter. Eldridge was the Bulldogs' lone representative on the all-tournament team after averaging 17 points in three games.
