Bulldogs losing streak at four after 5-4 extra-inning loss to Lutheran St. Charles

Mexico's losing streak sits at four.

The Bulldogs lost 5-4 in eight innings to Lutheran St. Charles on Wednesday at home. They finished with eight hits, including four doubles, but stranded the tying run in the eighth inning despite having a runner at third base with one out. Jaydon Eldridge went 2-for-4 with a double for Mexico (7-5), Sam Ryan had two RBI, Brady Fox had two RBI and a double, and Chance McCarty and Austin Maxwell each had a double. Drew DeMint pitched 7 1/3 innings with seven hits, seven strikeouts, four earned runs and two walks. For Lutheran St. Charles (2-8), Sam Calleros went 2-for-4 with two RBI and a double, Tristan MaClachlan went 3-for-4 with one RBI and a double, and Conner Harrison finished 2-for-4 with a run and pitched eight innings with eight hits, three earned runs, three walks and one strikeout.

Mexico (0-3 NCMC) goes for its first North Central Missouri Conference win at 5 p.m. Thursday at home against Class 4 No. 7 Fulton (7-2, 2-1 NCMC).
