Bulldogs run away from Osage in second half to win 74-60 at home

On a night Jaydon Eldridge celebrated scoring his 1,000th career point, Eldridge and the Mexico boys scored heavily in  the second half.

The Bulldogs beat School of the Osage 74-60 on Friday at home after scoring 42 points in the second half. Eldridge led Mexico (17-6) with 27 points and had seven rebounds one night after scoring his 1,000th point in a 57-56 loss at Harrisburg. PJ Perkins finished with 16 points and eight rebounds, Kaden Benne had 16 points and four 3-pointers, and Charlie Fisher finished with eight points and six assists. Maverick Trusty led Osage (15-6) with 18 points and four 3-pointers, Dayne Depee followed with 15 points, including a buzzer-beating 3-pointer that put the Indians ahead 34-32 at halftime, and Blake Harrison had 14 points.

Mexico (7-0 NCMC) hosts North Central Missouri Conference and district foe Fulton (7-12, 2-4 NCMC) at around 8 p.m. on Tuesday night.
