Trey Burle continued his good season at the Columbia Relays on Saturday.
Burle finished eighth in the 100 butterfly A finals and 10th in the 100 breaststroke B finals.
Burle broke two school records at MMA’s home meet on Sept. 22, where the Colonels finished 10 points behind Hannibal’s 66 points. He swimmed to a winning 58.72 time in the 100-meter butterfly to break the previous record of 59.97 set by Tiago Ruas Deluca in 2023. He had a 1:09.40 first-place time in the 100-meter breaststroke to best his record of 1:11.7 from last year.
Chase Burle won the 400-meter freestyle with a time of 4:46.12, which is more than seven seconds faster than the consideration standard of 4:53.59. He also won the 50-meter freestyle with a time of 27.11.
Manuel Obregon won the 100-meter freestyle with a time of 1:03.19.
The Burles, Obregon and James Aldendifer won the 200-meter freestyle relay with a time of 1:31.69. The 200-meter medley relay (Burles, Obregon and Aldendifer) and the 400-meter freestyle relay (John Farley, Leonardo Ponce, Peter Brix, Jonathan Liberman) finished second with respective times of 2:06.21 and 5:42.70.
