Filing for the Aug. 4 primary election will open on Feb. 24 at 8 a.m. and will continue until March 29 at 5 p.m. for various state and county offices.
Filing for county offices may be done at the office of Lisa Smith, Audrain County clerk at 101 N. Jefferson St., Room 101.
Four-year terms for the following local offices are available:
Declarations of candidacy for township or ward committeeman and township or ward committeewoman may also be filed. These officers will be elected in the primary election.
A number of state offices will also be available. Filing may be done at the office of Missouri Secretary of State Denny Hoskins in the James C. Kirkpatrick State Information Center at 600 W. Main Street in Jefferson City.
