Mexico Senior Center: Nov. 5

Join Emily Lain, Barb Miles, friends and family for a day of celebration honoring our local VFW Post 3772 and all veterans.

A surprise guest will do a musical tribute for all veterans during lunch which will be paid for by United Credit Union. This will be a day of honoring our country’s finest who have served and fought to keep our country free. Plan to come reminisce and share stories. The menu will be: pork roast, sweet potatoes, coleslaw, rolls and chocolate meringue pie.

The Senior Center address is 606 E. Park St. Mexico, MO.

Audrain County Historical Society Veterans Exhibit: Nov. 6 - 16

The Historic Society has put together pictures and memorabilia of the USS Audrain and the Spirit of Audrain along with Service Uniforms, Congressional Medal of Honor and other medals, documentation, pictures and more items from the service men and women from Audrain County.

Veterans are invited to reminisce and tell stories about their service as guests of the museum for free; admission for everyone else is $5. Coffee, tea, cookies, and flag lapel pins as a special “thank you for your service” will be available. Speakers will be joining throughout the week so be sure to call the museum at 573-581-3910 or check the Facebook page, Audrain County Historical Museum, for times and updates.

The museum at 501 South Muldrow St. Mexico, MO. will be open Wednesday - Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
