Centralia's defense forced five turnovers on Friday night at home to defeat Clarence Cannon Conference foe Brookfield 33-0, including two interceptions by Elliott McCoy, to move the Class 3 No. 6 Panthers to 4-0. The second pick by McCoy was returned 52 yards for a touchdown to make it 13-0 at the time and then Centralia's offense awakened. The Panthers had 198 yards passing and 170 yards rushing on offense, and Cullen Bennett complete 20-of-27 passes. On defense, Ashton Price led the team with 10 tackles and three tackles for loss, and Ian Tuggle had nine tackles and a team-high four tackles for loss and a fumble recovery.
