Claude 'Junior' Beedle Jr.

Graveside services for Claude "Junior" Beedle Jr., 90, of Vandalia,

will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 11, 2020 at the Vandalia Cemetery

with Rev. Jamie Franke officiating.

The family wants everyone to know if you would like to pay your

respects, you are welcome. Due to COVID-19 they understand any concerns.

Junior passed away at 5:10 p.m. Dec. 7 at the Missouri

Veterans Home in Mexico.

Mr. Beedle was born Nov. 18, 1930 in Gazette, the son of Claude

and Wilma Lovelace Beedle Sr.

He served his country honorably in the U.S. Army from November of

1951 to August of 1953 and obtained the rank of Sergeant.

He married Rebecca Jean Watts on Dec. 13, 1968 in Mexico and she

preceded him in death on June 5, 2006.

Survivors include one son Jim (Pat) Hulse of Linn; three daughters,

Brenda Weilmuenster of Columbia, Dawn Baumgartner of Lake St. Louis, and

Becky Lee of Columbia; seven grandchildren, Ashley Robertson, Kayla

Smith, Cameron Lee-Townsend, Jamie Pienta, Danielle, Quinton and Cameron

Baumgartner, four great-grandchildren and one nephew, Mike Rawlings.

He was preceded in death by one son, Bill Hulse; one sister, Betty

Rawlings and one brother, Jim Allen Beedle.

Junior grew up and raised their family in Vandalia. He was an

active member of the Vandalia VFW, spending his Friday nights at the VFW

frying fish for the community. He raced cars as a young man and through

his life enjoyed watching NASCAR and attending truck and tractor pulls.

He cherished watching and cheering on his children and grandchildren

(and all Van-Far teams) in all sporting events. He enjoyed spending the

weekends camping when the kids were young with family and friends. After

his wife passed spent many afternoon taking peaceful drives, walks with

his dog Buddy and visits with his amazing neighbors.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Mexico

Veterans Home, Attn: Dementia Unit, #1 Veteran Dr. Mexico, MO 65265.
