Missouri Military Academy only needed 48 minutes to win on Thursday at home.
MMA defeated Class 2 District 4 foe Fulton 8-0 as play was halted in the 48th minute due to the mercy rule, the Colonels' second straight victory in that fashion. Emilio Perez scored a career-high five goals one game after setting his previous high of four in a 15-0 victory over Eugene at home two days prior. Perez had four of his goals at halftime when MMA (3-1) led 5-0 on the way to the first loss for Fulton (3-1). Fernando Puebla scored three goals and had three assists, Eric Shellabarger had one assist and Emiliano De La Garza had an assist.
MMA hosts Canton (0-4) at 5 p.m. Tuesday.
