The Paris returned to the Moberly Holiday Shootout and beat La Plata this time around.
The Coyotes won 58-44 on Saturday at Moberly Area Community College after losing 38-33 to the Bulldogs (3-6) at last year's shootout. They were better in the second half by outscoring La Plata 35-19 in the latter two quarters after trailing 25-23 at halftime. Brad Skinner led Paris (3-7) with 13 points, Cayden Poddany had 12 points and two blocks, and Andre Miller had eight points and two 3-pointers. Kendrick Hulett and Wyatt Hamilton had 19 points and 14 points, respectively, but only 11 combined points in the second half.
Paris plays in the first round of the Salisbury Invitational tournament at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 7 against Glasgow (5-3).
