Hunter Cuno made an impact late in Mexico football's season and was rewarded on Thursday.

The senior signed to play for Missouri Valley College in a ceremony in Gary Filbert gym. Cuno was an all-North Central Missouri Conference and all-district running back after leading the Bulldogs in rushing. He ran for 660 yards and seven touchdowns on 104 carries despite missing four games to recover from the dislocated elbow. Three of his final games were north of 100 yards rushing, including 220 yards in the season-ending 42-27 loss at Hannibal. As a linebacker, he had 35 tackles and five tackles for loss. Last season, he was an all-district linebacker after leading the team with 72 tackles and two fumble recoveries along with two tackles for loss.
