Doris Jean Weber, 89, of Mexico, passed away at 4:15 a.m. Sunday, May 2, 2021, at Pin Oaks Living Center.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 5, at Pickering Funeral Home with Pastor Bob Harvey officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 9 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in East Lawn Memorial Park.

Doris was born Sept.14, 1931, the daughter and only child of Clarence and Henrietta (Beckley) Beatty. On Aug. 9, 1953, in Mexico, she married Randall W. Weber who survives.

Doris was a 1949 graduate and 1949 homecoming queen of Mexico High School, and a graduate of the Chillicothe Business College. She was employed by AP Green’s Refractories in Mexico after her graduation until the time of her marriage. She was a military wife for 10 years, accompanying her husband in his decade of service in the U.S. Air Force. She was a devoted wife and mother and her life revolved around her family and her faith in her Lord Jesus Christ. She enjoyed writing poetry, collecting antiques, singing and playing piano. She was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church of Mexico where she was very involved in service. She served as church clerk for 35 years, served as a Sunday school teacher and she had been a choir member.

In addition to her husband Randy, she is survived by two daughters, Terry J. Harvey (Bob), of Auburn, Ala., and Judy L. Haerer, of Mexico; one son, Scott D. Weber, of Mexico; six grandchildren, Chris Harvey, of Charleston, S.C., Renee Winkler (Stuart), of Auburn, Ala., Lisa Harvey, of Arlington Heights, Ill., Randy Haerer (Brandi), Rachel Karhoff (Richie), and Leah Haerer, all of Mexico; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, Bradford M. Weber in 1961; and a son-in-law, Russ Haerer in 2018.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Mexico. They may be sent in care of Pickering Funeral Home, 403 N. Western, Mexico, MO 65265.
