East Central Drug Task Force makes 12 arrests in Friday, Sunday operation

A law enforcement task force arrested several people April 4 and April 6 in connection with various drug charges at a Mexico residence, according to a news release from the Audrain County Sheriff’s Office.

During the early morning hours of April 4, the East Central Drug Task Force, assisted by the Audrain County Sheriff‘s Office and the Mexico Department of Public Safety, served a search warrant at a residence on Quantico Road in Mexico. 

As a result of the search warrant, the release stated officers arrested two people and seized methamphetamine, fentanyl, stolen property and multiple items of drug paraphernalia used in the illegal distribution and use of controlled substances. 

Those arrested and their charges were: 

  • Raymond Glenn Head, 61, of Mexico, for possession of a controlled substance, keeping or maintaining a public nuisance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Head remains in the Audrain County Jail on a no-bond arrest warrant.
  • Kevin Dean Snyder, 41, of Mexico, for possession of a controlled substance, keeping or maintaining a public nuisance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Snyder remains in the Audrain County Jail on a no-bond arrest warrant. 

During the mid-morning hours on April 4, the East Central Drug Task Force, assisted by the Audrain County Sheriff‘s Office, the Mexico Department of Public Safety, and the Missouri State Highway Patrol, served a search warrant at a residence on South Missouri Street in Mexico. As a result of the search warrant, officers arrested six people and seized fentanyl and multiple items of drug paraphernalia used in the illegal distribution and use of controlled substances. 

Those arrested and their charges were: 

  • Sarah Elizabeth Blackwell, 50, of Mexico, for first degree drug trafficking, possession of a controlled substance, keeping or maintaining a public nuisance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Blackwell remains in the Audrain County Jail on a no-bond arrest warrant. 
  • Dakota Michael Goodin, 28, of Mexico, for possession of a controlled substance, keeping or maintaining a public nuisance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Goodin remains in the Audrain County Jail on a no-bond arrest warrant. 
  • Christine Gilbert, 38, of Mexico, for possession of a controlled substance, keeping or maintaining a public nuisance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Gilbert remains in the Audrain County Jail on a $10,000 cash or surety bond arrest warrant. 
  • Shawntarius Thrower-Hoffman, 20, of Mexico, for possession of a controlled substance, keeping or maintaining a public nuisance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Gilbert remains in the Audrain County Jail on a $5,000 cash or surety bond arrest warrant. 
  • Dylan Wayne Blackwell, 25, of Mexico, for possession of a controlled substance, keeping or maintaining a public nuisance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Blackwell was court-ordered released on his recognizance with a date to appear in court.
  • Gretchen Raye Whipple, 20, of Mexico, for unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Whipple was booked and released pending the formal filing of charges by the Audrain County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. 

During the early morning hours of April 6, the East Central Drug Task Force, assisted by the Audrain County Sheriff‘s Office, the Mexico Department of Public Safety, and the Missouri State Highway Patrol, served a search warrant at a residence on South Olive Street in Mexico. 

As a result of the search warrant,the release stated, officers arrested two people and seized methamphetamine, fentanyl, stolen property, and multiple items of drug paraphernalia used in the illegal distribution and use of illegal controlled substances. 

Those arrested and their charges were: 

  • Matthew A. Crenshaw, 22, of Mexico, for possession of a controlled substance, keeping or maintaining a public nuisance, theft of a firearm, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Crenshaw remains incarcerated on a $15,000 bond arrest warrant. 
  • Kenadi M. Lovelace, 21, of Mexico, for possession of a controlled substance, keeping or maintaining a public nuisance, theft of a firearm, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Lovelace remains incarcerated on a $15,000 bond arrest warrant.

During the mid-morning hours of April 6, the East Central Drug Task Force, assisted by the Audrain County Sheriff‘s Office and the Mexico Department of Public Safety, served a search warrant upon a hotel room in Mexico. As a result of the search warrant, officers arrested one person and seized fentanyl, methamphetamine, and multiple items of drug paraphernalia used in the ingestion of illegal controlled substances. 

Arrested and charges:

  • Makayla M. Crenshaw, 26, of Mexico, for possession of a controlled substance, theft of a firearm, unlawful possession of a firearm, money laundering, possession of drug paraphernalia, and an outstanding felony arrest warrant. Crenshaw remains incarcerated on a no bond arrest warrant. 

During the afternoon hours of April 6, the East Central Drug Task Force, assisted by the Audrain County Sheriff‘s Office and the Mexico Department of Public Safety, served a search warrant on East Love Street in Mexico. As a result of the search warrant, officers arrested one person regarding an ongoing criminal investigation, and seized drug paraphernalia used in the ingestion of illegal controlled substances. 

Arrested and charged:

  • Michael E. Bartlow, 49, of Mexico, for unlawful possession of a firearm, money laundering, and stealing a firearm. Bartlow remains incarcerated on a no-bond arrest warrant.

Persons arrested for criminal offenses are presumed innocent until proven guilty, and the accusations against them are merely allegations.
