Eighth grade students from Mexico, the Missouri Military Academy (MMA) and Community R-VI participated in an event last week programmed with the idea of providing students with a reality based decision making experience.
The annual “Reality Store” event was put on at Mexico Middle School on Thursday, Nov. 2, in conjunction with the Mexico Area Chamber of Commerce and local businesses. The goal of the program is, “for students to personally know how important it is to finish high school and to complete post-high school training or a degree in order to be able to be self-sufficient adults.”
With the help of local businesses students were able to go through real life decision making scenarios.
