Both the city of Mexico and the Mexico Public Schools Board of Education will have elections this coming April for open positions. Filing can be done at City Hall or the BOE offices starting on Tuesday and running through the close of business on Dec. 26.
The BOE has three open positions currently held by Lennette Brown, treasurer Michelle Stephens and Board President Keith Louder. Two of the positions will be for a three-year term and one position will be a two-year term.
Mexico Mayor Vicki Briggs and Councilman Chris Miller both have terms expiring this coming April. Both of those seats are for three year terms.
